As a thank you for the COVID-19 vaccinations carried out for FIS employees by physician Dr. van Gelder from the Mainbogenpraxis, FIS donates 2,000 euros in his name to Elterninitiative leukämie- und tumorkranker Kinder Würzburg e.V. (Parents' Initiative for Children with Leukemia and Tumors).

(Parents’ Initiative for Children with Leukemia and Tumors).

In recent weeks, Dr. van Gelder from the Mainbogenpraxis in Sennfeld has provided 120 employees of FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH (FIS) with a first or second vaccination against the COVID-19 virus. For this, FIS would like to thank the doctor and his team for their commitment. Supporting the Elterninitiative leukämie- und tumorkranker Kinder Würzburg e.V. is a matter close to Dr. van Gelder’s heart. FIS is also pleased to be able to support the association once again as it already donated 15,000 euros in December 2019 as part of its traditional Christmas campaign “Donations instead of gifts”.

On June 18, 2021, Mrs. Roßberg from the Elterninitiative leukämie- und tumorkranker Kinder Würzburg e.V. accepted the donation in the amount of 2,000 euros. Among other things, the parents’ initiative uses the donations to provide family-friendly equipment for three oncology children’s wards at the University Children’s Hospital in Würzburg, to finance outpatient care or psychosocial support for the entire family during and after therapy.

“With the vaccinations by Dr. van Gelder alone, we have already been able to vaccinate 20% of our employees at our Grafenrheinfeld location. Through this valuable contribution, we hope to soon return to our usual and safe daily routine at FIS. For this reason, we would like to thank him and are pleased that the donation will benefit children in need and their families,” comments Christian Lang, member of the FIS management board.
