FIS Becomes Official SAP Sales Partner for CRM in the Cloud

Since the beginning of 2016, FIS GmbH has been an official SAP sales partner and offers its customers the acquisition of the cloud-based SAP C4C CRM solution.

CRM is an impressive growth market and currently records a significantly higher growth rate than the ERP sector according to analysts. Future belongs to applications out of the Cloud. With C4C (Cloud for Customer), SAP offers a comprehensive product for CRM out of the Cloud. It helps SAP user companies optimize their SD, service and marketing business processes without having to install expensive on-premise solutions. Nevertheless, C4C can be integrated if required. It is to be expected that its functional scope will approximate the scope of the proven SAP CRM on-premise in a relatively short period of time. The SAP cloud variant particularly focuses on mobility and provides a mobile client for service and sales with C4C. It is generated dynamically and runs on all mobile devices and operating systems - even offline - due to the SAP UI5 technology.

 

Since the beginning of 2016, FIS GmbH has been an official SAP sales partner for C4C and offers SAP users the direct use of the cloud-based CRM solution against respective license fees and once again considerably enhances its previous solution portfolio. Dirk Schneider, Head of Sales of the Smart Products Business Unit at FIS GmbH says: "The trend towards cloud services and consequently towards mobile access to customer data and processes in the CRM area is obvious. No product is more appropriate for SAP customers than C4C. Due to our new sales partnership, we take this fact into account and enhance our SAP solution portfolio by an important module."

 

Start with the Sales and Service Modules

 

The SAP CRM cloud solution is operated in the St. Leon Roth (near Walldorf) data center and consists of four modules: Sales, Service, Marketing and Social Media. All modules can be used independently. FIS starts its C4C offensive with the first two main modules. The current phase is the enabling phase, i.e. the organization of technical service, sales and distribution and support. There is a great deal of interest; we have already now received initial inquiries from customers.

C4C by SAP contributes to even more standardization in the CRM area. Individual adjustments are possible in certain areas. If SAP users have even more specific requirements, they can rely on the proven FIS/crm® SAP add-on as an individual consulting solution, e.g. if no cloud is desired or if the customer requires an individual connection of the CRM system to SAP, which is also possible via the HCI interface of the cloud solution. Some SAP users want to customize CRM processes to specific corporate requirements, which can be easily implemented by means of the FIS SAP add-on.

 

Own Cloud Services Enhanced

 

While FIS fully relies on C4C when it comes to "CRM out of the Cloud", it simultaneously enhances the individual cloud services with the current development of a Web EDI solution, for instance. The target group of this cloud-based service for the EDI communication is SAP users with just a few vendors. However, they would like to communicate with them via EDI. The purchase of an individual EDI solution is often not profitable in such cases. A Web service would be an alternative here. Via a Web interface, the partners can upload their purchase order confirmations or invoices that will then be directly imported as an EDI message into the recipient’s SAP system.
