FIS Warehouse Logistics Information Day 2016

At the FIS Warehouse Logistics Information Day taking place in Grafenrheinfeld on July 7, 2016, FIS GmbH will inform on SAP-based solutions for medium-sized warehouse logistics.

Lectures given by SAP, the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML) as well as by FIS customer WIEDEMANN GmbH & Co. KG provide warehouse logistics and IT experts with comprehensive information on warehouse logistics trends and solutions such as SAP WM and SAP EWM.

The FIS Warehouse Logistics Information Day is an interactive information platform for warehouse and logistics managers as well as IT decision makers. The FIS Warehouse Logistics Information Day organized by FIS GmbH based in Grafenrheinfeld particularly addresses to medium-sized businesses and provides them with comprehensive and detailed information. Besides market-leading solution providers such as SAP, science, project and user practice will communicate their points of view regarding warehouse logistics trends, challenges and solutions on the way to Logistics 4.0.

Bernd Kutz, Chief Solution Expert Supply Chain Execution at SAP Deutschland SE & Co. KG, informs on "first class warehouse logistics" with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) and the SAP S/4HANA next generation ERP. Detlef Spee, head of department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML), will explain the chances and risks related to the use of IT in medium-sized warehouse logistics from the science point of view. Kai Kujath, head of logistics at FIS customer WIEDEMANN GmbH & Co. KG, will present the WIEDEMANN project roadmap to the participants. The beginning of the roadmap was marked by the decision in favor of SAP and is now characterized by optimized and high-performing warehouse logistics.

FIS GmbH will present their template for an easy introduction to SAP EWM demonstrating that complex warehouse technology implementations do not have to be complicated. In another lecture, FIS points out the properties making SAP EWM the right solution for current and upcoming requirements in consideration of growing challenges and warehouse technique automation and why it is right to examine existing logistics processes carefully.

At the accompanying partner exhibition, the participants themselves become active. They see through the data glasses how Augmented Reality brings warehouse processes to the future and practically try out innovative application options of advanced warehouse logistics hardware and picking via Pick-by-Voice.

The FIS Warehouse Logistics Information Day will take place at the FIS GmbH headquarters, Visitors' Center / Am Sand 1 / 97506 Grafenrheinfeld. There will be enough room for extensive exchanges between experts. The event will start at 9.00 am and ends at around 4.45 pm with an exchange of experience among the participants.
