FIS with New Cloud Solutions
As an SAP Cloud Solution Partner, FIS closely cooperates with SAP in regard to this important future field. Since the beginning of 2016, FIS has been an official SAP sales partner for SAP Hybris C4C and offers SAP users the direct use of this cloud-based CRM solution. It helps SAP user companies optimize their SD, service and marketing business processes without having to install expensive on-premise solutions. The trend towards cloud services and consequently towards mobile access to customer data and processes in the CRM area is obvious.
Furthermore, FIS develops individual cloud-based solutions, such as a new Web EDI solution. The target group of this cloud-based service for the EDI communication is SAP users with just a few vendors. However, they would like to communicate with them via EDI. This solution is also suitable for customers that would like to connect their B and C vendors by providing a portal to these often small companies for an easy handling of their ordering processes. The purchase of a conventional 1:1 EDI solution is often not profitable in such cases. As an alternative, a Web service can be used enabling 1:n connections. Via a Web user interface, the vendors can upload, for instance, their order responses or invoices that will then be directly imported as an EDI message into the recipient’s SAP system. An SAP-integrated monitor allows the monitoring of the cloud communication directly from SAP so that the customer does not have to exit their familiar system environment. In doing so, companies can move supply chain processes completely or partially to the cloud.
FIS is also working on the porting of existing solutions to the cloud, such as the FIS/fci document reading software that can optionally be operated as on-premise solution or as cloud service in the future. In this way, FIS offers its customers a contemporary alternative to the operation of the document recognition and validation software products on individual servers. You can access FIS/fci in the cloud either via Web client or via Citrix depending on your individual IT strategy. The trendsetting cloud topic concerns the entire FIS group which is not least reflected by the new iRetPlat platform of FIS-iLog integrated Logistics Platform GmbH where connected companies can post returnable transport packagings in exact quantities. It also concerns the activities of FIS-ASP as one of the leading data center providers for the SAP community.
