SAP CodeJam on “SAP Gateway” Organized by FIS Attracts Large Number of Visitors
On July 22, 2016, large parts of the regional developer scene again followed the invitation of FIS to jointly try out the latest SAP technologies, develop them and to do some networking among like-minded persons in an informal atmosphere.
With this year’s SAP CodeJam, FIS GmbH has brought the event to Lower Franconia for the third time in a row. The 2016 SAP CodeJam focused on “SAP Gateway” enabling the connection b to applications outside SAP via OData services. In this way, SAP Gateway opens SAP systems for mobile apps and HTML5 applications, for instance. This also makes SAP Gateway interesting for users who develop interactive applications using non-SAP programming languages and who want to connect these applications to SAP.
As Florian Henninger, FIS initiator of the SAP CodeJam, who also accompanied the event in his capacity as SAP mentor, observes, “The combination of informal atmosphere and top know-how on current SAP topics is always very well received by the participants. The feedback of the visitors to the third CodeJam in Grafenrheinfeld confirms this once more. The support of our external SAP professionals on site contributed largely to this success.” As in the previous years, SAP expert André Fischer guided through the event. He and Artur Gajek were competent contact persons for the numerous participants.
