FIS again Trains Certified SAP Consultants with Trainee Program

04/13/2021
Following the success of the last two years, FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH (FIS) is again implementing a trainee program this year. The program prepares graduates for the demanding tasks in SAP consulting.

On April 12, 2021, seven trainees started their training as SAP consultants. The program lasts 6 months and consists of a theoretical training and a practice company and is complemented by diverse soft skill training courses. The training courses alone, including SAP certification, are worth more than 10,000 euros per trainee. Afterwards, the participants receive a permanent employment contract and can apply and implement their acquired knowledge in practice.

“Fortunately, our industry is showing some crisis resistance during the corona pandemic and the order situation is good. In addition, we continue to feel the shortage of skilled workers. Therefore, our training programs, which include the trainee program, are an important component in securing qualified employees,” comments Michael Eibisch, Head of Human Resources at FIS.

The concept already successfully tested last year under corona conditions will be used again this year. As a consequence, participants are free to choose whether they want to learn from home in the future. The trainers themselves will not be on site either but will hold the training sessions from their home offices, using modern conferencing tools. With these measures, FIS tries to provide the trainees with a qualified and yet safe training. Nevertheless, both organizers and trainees still have hope that at least in the second half of the six-month program, more presence and contacts in the company will be possible.
