The SAP CX Expert status is the highest partner status in the Customer Experience (CX) world of SAP part of the new Competency Framework for Cloud Business. FIS and Medienwerft received it as a group because both complement each other perfectly. “Together, we can holistically cover SAP’s CX platform. This is what characterizes our special positioning in the CX environment,” says FIS Managing Director Dirk Schneider.
FIS specializes in consulting and implementation of SAP projects for trade and industry, Medienwerft develops e-commerce applications and digital communication concepts for brands. Both have around 30 years of expertise and offer their customers an end-to-end view. Together, they cover the entire spectrum of SAP Customer Experience topics: From strategy and technological implementation to integration into corporate processes, FIS and Medienwerft provide the complete package for marketing, e-commerce, sales and service from a single source.
Certification gives customers orientation
“Companies are looking for implementation partners who are fit in the individual areas, processes, industries and technologies,” Mr. Schneider continues. The Competency Framework and the certifications reveal the specialization of the SAP partners and their areas of expertise. “Consequently, the Competency Framework points the way and has considerably more significance than the SAP Gold, Silver and Platinum awards in the on-premises sector,” adds Oliver Helms, Managing Director of Medienwerft.
Medienwerft and FIS have succeeded in achieving the CX Expert status within nine months since the introduction of the Competency Framework. The CX portfolio is made up of the Shop, Sales, Service and Marketing areas. At FIS and Medienwerft, the CX certification concerns the following products: Sales and Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Emarsys (Marketing Automation) and Customer Data Platform (CDP).
Expert status and Competency Framework: What is behind all this?
The Competency Framework covers a total of five cloud solution areas, which, in addition to CX, include ERP and supply chain, for instance. The authorization, certification and project levels are available for each area as well as the three Essential, Advanced and Expert statuses.
To obtain certification, the partner must prove that it has completed a specific number of projects and go-lives for the levels within 24 months – and the appropriate personnel, i.e. project managers, consultants and technology experts (Platform Experts). Ten go-lives are required for the Expert status. The Competency Framework is a rolling system: The partners have to keep up with the demands – a challenge in view of the long project runtimes in the commerce environment.
“Our incentive is to deliver excellence, to train and to develop. As a result, this automatically leads to certification,” concludes Mr. Helms.
