New Group of Students at FIS Starts into its First Practice Phase

01/19/2023
On January 7, FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH (FIS) welcomed four new dual system students to their first practical phase at the company’s headquarters in Grafenrheinfeld.

As early as in October 2022, the program participants got to know each other and the DP equipment was handed out. This was followed by the first lectures for the freshmen at their universities. The practical part of the dual study program at FIS started in January 2023. In the last few days, the first thing on the students’ agenda was to get to know their work center, the company and the colleagues. Moreover, the first training courses and briefings have already taken place.

For the dual study program, FIS cooperates with the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (“Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg”, in short: “DHBW”) and offers courses of study “Business Informatics” (DHBW location in Mosbach) and “Business Administration Service Management”, “Consulting and Sales”, major subject “IT Consulting” (DHBW location in Heilbronn). During their dual study program, the students will repeatedly change between theoretical phases at DHBW and practical phases at FIS.  At the end of the program, the students will receive a permanent employment contract as an SAP consultant, developer or key account manager.

In the three-year dual study program in Business Administration Service Management, the students learn business competences in the areas of service, consulting and sales and distribution with focus on the IT world. In addition to the technical qualifications, they will also learn methodological, linguistic and social skills to master the demanding tasks in IT consulting.

In the Business Informatics dual study program, the students will particularly deal with business management software of companies. They learn how to analyze operational processes and structures and then provide efficient digital support through software like SAP.
