Trainee Start with Challenges

04/20/2020
The SAP Consultant trainee program has entered the next round. However, some obstacles must be overcome this year due to the Corona restrictions.

The trainee program of FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH (FIS) enters the second round: ten trainees started their vocational training as SAP Consultant on April 20, 2020. The program lasts 6 months and consists of a theoretical training and a practice company and is complemented by diverse soft skill training courses. At the end of the program, the participants are best prepared for their work as SAP consultants.

However, due to the Corona crisis, the training program, which was successfully tested last year, had to be redesigned. “We have to face the challenges at this particular time and react flexibly,” says Michael Eibisch, human resources manager at FIS. The safety of our trainees is of utmost importance and, as a consequence, the group was split into two smaller teams. Moreover, the participants are free to work from home in the future. The trainers themselves do not work on site. They hold the training courses from their home offices using advanced conference tools. These measures enable us to offer our trainees a qualified and reliable vocational training. “It was no option for us to cancel the program,” explains Michael Eibisch. “FIS sees itself as a reliable partner for customers, but also for its employees and therefore it is our wish to start and complete the trainee program in spite of all Corona obstacles.”
