FIS Group Donates Comforter Teddy Bears

06/09/2021
FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH (FIS), together with its subsidiary FIS-ASP Application Service Providing und IT-Outsourcing GmbH (FIS-ASP), donates comforter teddy bears worth €500 to the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK), the St. Josef Hospital and the Leopoldina Hospital.

As part of the “Give a child’s smile” campaign of Kinderhilfe Eckental GmbH, the FIS Group provided the two Schweinfurt hospitals and BRK rescue vehicles with a total of 50 comforter teddy bears.

The approx. 30 cm tall, cuddly plush bears are given to little patients in emergency situations to provide distraction and eliminate traumatic experiences. These comforters are a gift and may accompany the children during examinations and treatments. Of course, the children can also take the teddy bears home after their emergency, writes Kinderhilfe Eckental.

Due to the geographical proximity to Schweinfurt, FIS-ASP decided to distribute its share of the donation among the hospitals located there. At FIS, the decision was made in favor of the Bavarian Red Cross due to the voluntary commitment of some employees in this organization. Michael Köth, deputy head of the Schweinfurt rescue service, received the comforters from Dieter Ball, member of the FIS management board, and from Michael Stöhr, FIS employee, first aider and “helper on the spot”.
