FIS/FreestylePicking is a logistics solution developed by FIS on the basis of SAP BTP that was specially designed for pickup stores in technical wholesale. Instead of waiting at the counter, customers pick their articles themselves: they log on via QR code, scan products using a mobile device and withdraw the goods directly from the storage section. All steps from scanning to the complete SAP order are processed with system aid so that prices, quantities and stocks are mapped in the system correctly and immediately. This creates a consistent digital process which reduces wait times and considerably lowers the workload for counter staff and customers.
