Horsch Maschinen GmbH SUCCESS STORY OF A CUSTOMER PROJECT

As a globally leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery, Horsch Maschinen GmbH continued to experience increasing invoice volumes. It was a great challenge for the employees to process approx. 20,000 incoming invoices per month, which required a considerable expenditure of time. At the same time, lawful invoicing – particularly in Germany – had to be ensured.
The implementation of FIS/edc and FIS/Invoice Refinement Service was a decisive step towards automation: invoices are now processed in an automated way. Intelligent document recognition and specific assignments to persons responsible considerably reduce the workload of the team. The possibility of background postings ensures additional gains in efficiency.

Horsch Maschinen GmbH
At the beginning of the 1980s, Michael Horsch developed the “Sä-Exaktor” for his uncle, i.e. a direct seed drill machine that can be used to place the seeds under the straw residues. This machine laid the foundation for HORSCH Maschinen GmbH that was founded by Michael Horsch in the Bavarian town of Schwandorf in 1984. The company grew steadily in the 2010s in particular and pushed ahead with its internationalization strategy. Now, agricultural engineering by HORSCH is represented on every continent and the company has branch offices and sister companies in different countries, such as France, Poland, Great Britain, Canada and the USA. Environmental protection and human health are main concerns of the manufacturer of agricultural machinery. The family-owned company is run by Michael Horsch, Cornelia Horsch, Philipp Horsch and Theodor Leeb.
