FIS Forum Highlights the Connection between Master Data Management and Customer Orientation

10/17/2016
The interest in the FIS expert forums remains unbroken. The latest event taking place in Cologne on October 6, 2016 was once again fully booked with more than 50 participants.

Reason: the FIS topics hit the nerve of the time. In the course of digital transformation, SAP users strive to implement an overall digital strategy. Master data maintenance goes hand in hand with customer-oriented SAP Customer Experience (CX) topics for which FIS offered the appropriate lectures in Cologne.

The Cologne expert forum for SAP process optimization focused on successful master data strategies. Process owners and decision-makers from purchasing, marketing and sales and distribution, materials management, IT as well as SAP participated in the interactive information platform.

“In the course of digital transformation, we always focus on the first three cornerstones: digitization, automation and networking with customers and partners. Customer orientation is no less important,” explains Dirk Schneider, Head of Sales of the Smart Products Business Unit at FIS GmbH. Since the range of information (on the competition as well) is available and grows constantly with digital transformation, companies must not lose contact with their customers. Prerequisite for functioning front office systems at the interface to the customer (keyword: CEC) is clear, updated and maintained master data.

SAP users have recognized this and consequently pay great attention to SAP master data management and maintenance. In Cologne, the participants could get information about the appropriate IT instruments for successful master data strategies and the required project know-how. Lively discussions during and after the lectures predominated the typical network character of the event.
