8th FIS Forum: Consistently Focusing IT Architecture on Customer Requirements

FIS offers the participants an interactive and practical event program with forward-looking recommendations for action in the field of digital transformation.

This year, the established event format took place on March 27 at the Laupheim premises of Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG, the world market leader for PistenBullys. All participants were enthused by the varied program consisting of a specialized lecture on process digitization, a top-class podium discussion and design thinking workshops.


"The secret of getting ahead is getting started": With this quote by Mark Twain, Dirk Schneider, FIS management board member, started his specialized lecture on the effects of digital transformation on established business processes. The following podium discussion moderated by Dirk Schneider focused on the crucial role of the customer in this respect. Tim Cortinovis, top speaker and sales expert, Hendrik van Laaten (co-founder of Medienwerft Hamburg, an FIS subsidiary), Peter Niemeyer (SAP Senior Partner Business Manager responsible for the CX and C/4HANA topics) and Reiner Wagner (Director Finance and Controlling of Wild Dairy Ingredients GmbH) agreed that the IT architecture needs to be consistently focused on the requirements of the customers. The challenge is to use digitization and automation in such a way that the customer is at the center of the process - from research and purchase to after sales service. This is the only way for companies to distinguish themselves from their market competitors, reconsider their processes and make them sustainable.


The participants of the 8th FIS Forum were provided with a practical overview of the sales future and exchanged views at eye level.
