Consulting Solutions for purchasing and procurement

Building object manager for SAP

System requirements: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

Many companies process complex objects and projects, such as building projects. The object manager is used to map projects in the system already during the presales phase. At the same time, you manage documents and data centrally, such as dates, status specifications or responsibilities for trades. Specific price conditions relevant for quotation and order creation can also be taken into account. The object monitor visually formats the defined information and spares valuable time for the quick search for desired information via diverse search parameters.

GAEB and ÖNORM for SAP

System requirements: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

In the German building trade, service description data is increasingly exchanged in the GAEB format (Joint Committee for Electronics in Construction). This standardization of formats of the data exchanged between the persons involved has many advantages. However, it requires a GAEB-capable interface as with DATANORM. The FIS solution for GAEB and ÖNORM supports these formats in all phases relevant for the manufacturer and trade. In addition to GAEB, the FIS solution supports the inbound and outbound processing in the ÖNORM B2063 format (exchange of service description data in electronic form according to Austrian standardization). Using this specific FIS solution, you adopt GAEB files in your system and generate GAEB files from SAP SD documents. A specific FIS DATANORM interface is available for all DATANORM users.

Optimized MRP list for SAP

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

The FIS Rapid Deployment Function for the MRP list is used to process and valuate purchase requisitions more efficiently. The optimization simulates the increase of the minimum reorder point allowing purchasers or MRP controllers to optimally benefit from scaled conditions, which simplifies the entire purchase order processing. The procedure increases the delivery capacity and reduces the purchase order costs. The clear display in a user interface is an additional advantage. In this way, the purchaser or MRP controller enters all information relevant for MRP at a glance.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

It is possible in SAP standard to already display input helps via a dropdown menu when entering the search term. In a HANA database, an additional cross-column full text search is executed in the fuzzy mode. The FIS material search help has been enhanced in such a way that specific fields can be selected flexibly for the search via Customizing and searched through on a cross-column basis. A search via characteristics as well as a synonym search are also integrated.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

The ABC/XYZ analysis classifies and analyses the warehouse stocks according to value and frequency of consumption. Depending on the material and consumption values, MRP and forecast are made according to customized settings. Since these settings are made by means of the values from the ABC/XYZ analysis, it significantly influences the availability of the material and the order and warehouse costs. This makes this analysis form an indispensable statistical and logistic procedure for an efficient just-in-time production especially in companies with a high production rate.

The FIS solution specifically developed for this requirement automatically executes the ABC/XYZ analysis in regular intervals. If required, the person responsible gets all information relevant for decision-making in a list.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

With ETIM, a uniform classification system is available to all participants in industry and wholesale. The Cockpit developed by FIS supports you in managing and maintaining ETIM classification data. It reads in and processes the ETIM data. The classes and characteristics are created in the SAP ERP system according to ETIM specifications. This eliminates the often time-consuming data formatting and adjustments. Data maintenance becomes more convenient for the user.

The FIS/mpm tool for master data management is recommended for the automated assignment of material master records to classes and characteristics as well as for characteristic value assignment.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

DATANORM is a file format for exchanging article master data. FIS provides a DATANORM interface both for outbound files, such as the data exchange between trade and customer, and for inbound files, such as the data exchange between vendor and trade. The interface is appropriate for all scenarios with DATANORM exchange in SAP.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

To facilitate the master data maintenance of irregularly sold products, FIS provides the option to create one-time articles. In the master record, they include a rudiment of fixed data (e.g. material group) which is enriched by specific material data when entering sales documents (e.g. vendor, material short text, prices etc.). Together with the purchase requisition, this data will then be transferred to the purchase order where it will be available for further processing. Next, a sales price calculation based on the vendor prices can be executed easily in the sales document.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

The unit of measure calculator is a function developed by FIS that can be used both in quotation/order entry and purchase order processing. The UoM calculator displays all units of measure and their conversion factors including the marking of base units of measure/order units/sales units and, if required, quantity agreements relative to a material. Via a specific function button, the selected unit of measure can be replaced in document entry.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

The returns monitor maps, monitors and controls the business processes of customer and vendor returns. In addition to the creation of customer returns, deliveries and material return postings, all following steps of further processing up to the dispatch of the returns material to the vendor are executed from this interface. At the same time, you are able to trace the single steps.

The entire logistic procedure is processed via the returns monitor from entry and stock movement to credit memo entry. This applies to vendor and customer. Further functions are stock postings (e.g. scrap transactions) and comprehensive display options for master and movement data.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

Let your vendor assume responsibility for your warehouse stocks. In doing so, you reduce process costs and optimize MRP. The FIS solution is used to send current stocks and sales data to the vendor via EDI or WebEDI. The vendor then executes a replenishment planning for your warehouse by means of this information. The vendor system automatically generates a sales order and transmits the order confirmation to your system via EDI.

Using this specific FIS solution, you adopt GAEB files in your system and generate GAEB files from SAP SD documents. A specific FIS DATANORM interface is available for all DATANORM users.

Cash sales processing with SAP

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

Using FIS/cash for cash sales, you effect immediate payments for invoices or down payments directly in your system. Workflow-controlled processes automatically trigger downstream processing steps, such as delivery creation, goods issue posting, customer invoice and payment receipt posting on the respective cash account.

The SAP optimization by FIS supports various payment types. This not only enables cash payments but also credit/debit cards as well as the use of vouchers. All financial transactions including those not being cash sale scenarios are specified as pay-in or pay-out transactions. The solution also offers different cash desk management transactions, such as cash desk logon as well as cash desk closing.

Shipping with parcel services in SAP

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

It often happens that several deliveries are sent to the same goods recipient on the same day. The FIS optimization for shipments with courier and express delivery companies determines the best dispatch method for the customer and its shipments. A specific routine avoids redundant double deliveries with different shipping types to the same customer.

You can flexibly react to changes in operative day-to-day business as usual. The solution also includes the label printing for the respective express delivery service provider. Consequently, freight and transport costs are sustainably reduced and shipments via express delivery service providers, such as DHL, DPD, UPS and Schweizer Post, are mapped.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

The FIS/LastMile app is integrated in the SAP system and documents goods deliveries directly on site – both online and offline. Via mobile terminals, the carrier enters the signature of the goods recipient. If required, they also document the transfer via pictures and remarks that are automatically stored at the relevant outbound delivery in the ERP system.

The tracking monitor is an optional enhancement of the FIS/LastMile app and is used to check and analyze outbound deliveries with your own car pool. As a result, it is possible to track the current location of the delivery vehicle as well as the drivers’ adherence to break times.

Oxomi is a platform for the communication of product and marketing functions. The SAP optimization by FIS enables a connection to Oxomi in order to call article-specific data during SD document processing. A complete data sheet, for instance, can be displayed for an article. This sheet may contain the following information: master data, images, files, long texts, catalog pages, videos and exposés. It is therefore possible to keep the data up to date without manual maintenance efforts.

Effective transportation planning and processing as well as a monitoring of transports is required to ensure that transports arrive at their destination as scheduled. This is why the ‘Route planning’ function has been developed by FIS. The big advantage is the easy planning of routes.

Delivery documents with and without assignment to a freight list are processed via a worklist. The creation of routes, the deletion or reassignment of delivery documents to an existing route is possible without any problems. Moreover, relevant accompanying documents are created directly from the application.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

It often happens that quotations and orders must be adapted to the individual customer or vendor requirements and sent via diverse communication channels. The flexible FIS solution implements the diverse requirements on form layout and output in an uncomplicated way and makes a variable price marking (company or end user).

UI5 Creator for ITSmobile Applications

The UI5 Creator from FIS is a solution integrated into the SAP system for converting ITSmobile applications (e.g. radio frequency dialogs in the warehouse) into a modern and convenient UI5 design. Rigid layouts are a thing of the past with this solution.

By converting the HTML code to SAPUI5, all the associated advantages become available: such as flexible display (Responsive Design) for any mobile device or ergonomic adaptation of the interface thanks to zoom functionality. For a particularly pleasant working experience, different color schemes can be set according to the prevailing conditions of the working environment (e.g. lighting conditions). In addition, the solution avoids unnecessary system interruptions, e.g. due to interruption of the WLAN connection or inactivity.

Real-Time Monitor for KPI monitoring

System requirement: SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM

The Real-Time Monitor is a solution integrated into the SAP system for monitoring key figures from SAP EWM in real time. The visualization in dashboards is based on modern SAPUI5 technology and is available as a desktop application as well as on mobile devices.

The monitor can be used to display KPIs for goods receipt, goods issue, internal warehouse processes and cross-warehouse processes, depending on the respective role. The design of the charts can be easily configured according to individual needs. Individual key figures can also be included.

System requirement: SAP WM or SAP Stock Room Management

The print manager is used for a finer control of the document print as an alternative to the existing standard options. It includes preconfigured and field-tested forms and labels for all relevant warehouse processes. The FIS solution provides, for instance, options for printing warehouse labeling with preconfigured labels for storage bins, storage units, employee ID cards as well as other forms and labels.

The FIS/Warehouse Feature Pack is an innovative solution from FIS that adds numerous functions to SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). With the FIS/Warehouse Feature Pack, you can benefit from predefined settings, layouts and variants that enable you to quickly and clearly evaluate key figures in the warehouse management monitor.

In addition, you get access to additional fields and information in relevant places, such as the supplier material numbers, which make warehouse management and processing easier for you.

Furthermore, the features reduce the working time of certain processes, for example thanks to the mass goods issue posting of several delivery orders, collective packaging or route optimization across warehouse orders. You can achieve additional cost savings, for example, with the collective packaging function through the optimized selection of suitable packaging materials. Moreover, incorrect entries in the number of packaging materials can be avoided through automated checking mechanisms. The FIS/Warehouse Feature Pack also offers more flexibility, for example with the optimized selection of the warehouse tasks to be completed next or the selection of mobile printers.

System requirement: SAP WM or SAP Stock Room Management

This solution provides an enhanced functional scope for physical inventory. Additional functions can be used to optimize the control and evaluation of inventory processes. Goods movements become more transparent. Besides enhanced transactions, tried and tested physical inventory count lists (forms) are also available in the portrait and landscape formats.

System requirement: SAP EWM

The storage space interlinking of FIS supports the demand-oriented determination of storage spaces, especially for large and bulky goods. The following initial situation: When storing large products (e.g. radiators, long goods and bathtubs), more than one storage space is usually required. However, in the standard SAP system, only one storage space can be selected per item. The additionally occupied spaces are displayed in the system as empty storage space and suggested for further putaways. Alternatively, they can be blocked manually and the employee has to remember why he blocked this space and that he has to release the space manually again at a later time (e.g. after selling the bathtub). This is confusing for both the control of the putaway processes and the executing warehouse employee and can result in additional work. Furthermore, although the “pallet warehouse” putaway strategy available in the standard SAP system offers a dynamic subdivision of the storage space, the putaway of different load carriers is not supported in this case.

The storage space linking function provides a remedy: it automatically blocks all storage spaces used when large parts are put away (depending on the handling unit and storage bin type). The blocking is only lifted when the storage order is cancelled or the product is removed from storage. The stock level is therefore always correct. Since storage spaces can be determined manually or automatically via the putaway strategy, putaway can be controlled flexibly.

Storage space interlinking also supports inventory. During the inventory of a storage space (all inventory types), the linked storage spaces automatically receive an inventory document with zero count. Unlike in the SAP standard, in which the manually blocked storage spaces are displayed as empty bins, this always ensures an accurate warehouse inventory with correct document situation.

System requirement: SAP WM or SAP Stock Room Management

In the warehouse center, your favorite transactions for the respective processes are provided in a visually appealing and easy-to-use environment. If you use stationary work centers in your warehouse, you no longer have to select these transactions via complex command lines or via the Easy Access menu tree. Instead, you use the FIS center as an overall application for all favorite or most frequently used warehouse transactions.

System requirement: SAP WM or SAP Stock Room Management

The overall control station monitoring tool enables a fast and effective monitoring of all warehouse processes at any time. All relevant warehouse operations are formatted graphically in such a way that the warehouse situation can be recognized at a glance. This optimizes the quick and easy recognition of critical situations. Diverse and individual display options enable the user to optimally use the tool.

System requirement: SAP WM or SAP Stock Room Management

This FIS enhancement includes functions for processing the most important warehouse processes in a paperless way by using a radio data transmission application (Radio Frequency of RF), such as Pick-by-Voice or Pick-by-Scan. The ergonomic dialogs dynamically adapt to the usual display sizes. Field-proven and intuitive control elements support the user and also enable the use of touch screens.

System requirement: SAP WM or SAP Stock Room Management

The monitoring cockpit provides specific and field-proven functions to be able to monitor and immediately control warehouse core processes. The provided cockpit bundles many additional functions, which support you in quickly accessing information. This enables you to immediately take respective measures in critical situations.

System requirement: SAP WM or SAP Stock Room Management

Preconfigured and field-tested putaway and stock removal strategies (FIFO, LIFO) allow a quick mapping of your putaway and stock removal processes. Consequently, complex programming works are omitted.

System requirement: SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA)

Let your vendor assume responsibility for your warehouse stocks. In doing so, you reduce your process costs and optimize MRP. The FIS solution is used to send current stocks and sales data to the vendor via EDI or WebEDI. The vendor then executes a replenishment planning for your warehouse by means of this information. The vendor system automatically generates a sales order and transmits the order confirmation to your system via EDI.
